Terms of Use

By using TextSnapy you agree to these terms. They’re written to be read.

1. The service

TextSnapy is a free web tool that lets you create text-based videos in your browser. We may change, improve or discontinue features at any time. Because processing happens on your device, results depend on your browser and hardware.

2. Your content and your videos

You keep all rights to the text you enter and to the videos you export, and you may use them for personal or commercial purposes. The typefaces used are licensed under open licences (such as the SIL Open Font License) that permit their use in videos. Cut sounds are generated by the software and may be used freely within your exports.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use TextSnapy to create or distribute content that:

• infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• impersonates a real person, publication or organisation, or presents fabricated documents or news as genuine;
• is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative or promotes violence;
• is intended to deceive people for fraud, scams or election manipulation.

You also agree not to interfere with the site’s operation, attempt to bypass its security, or use it to distribute malware.

4. Shareable links

Shareable links contain the text and settings of a design. You’re responsible for what you share and with whom.

5. The TextSnapy name and site

The TextSnapy name, logo, site design, templates and written content are protected. You may link to the site freely, but please don’t copy the site or its content, or present it as your own.

6. No warranty

TextSnapy is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that exports will work in every browser, or that videos will be accepted by any particular platform. See the Disclaimer.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for any loss of data or profits arising from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use means you accept the update.
